OBITUARIES:

Bernice Boyd

   (WEDOWEE) Mrs. Bernice Boyd, age 63, of Rt. 1 Wedowee, died Wednesday, Apr. 
22, 1987 at Wedowee Hospital, after a short illness.
   Mrs. Boyd was a lifelong resident of Randolph County, a homemaker and a 
member of Wesley's Chapel Congregational Christian Church.
   Mrs. Boyd is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ann Harmon of Rt. 1 Wedowee; her 
father, Dave New of Lineville; two sisters, Mrs. Gay Taylor of Lineville and 
Mrs. Ellis Craven of Oxford; four brothers, Troy New and Carl New of Lineville, 
R. Julian New of Anniston, and Jimmy New of Wedowee; and two grandchildren.
   Funeral services for Mrs. Boyd were at 11 a.m. Friday, Apr. 24 at Benefield 
Funeral Home Chapel, Wedowee, with the Rev. Gordon Taylor officiating.  Burial 
was in the New Home United Methodist Church Cemetery.
   Pallbearers for Mrs. Boyd were her nephews.
   The family requests no flowers but asks that donations be made to the 
American Diabetes Fund, the Southern Union State Junior College Music Club Fund 
or donors' favorite charities or churches.
   Benefield Brown-Service Approved Funeral Home of Wedowee was in charge of 
the arrangements.
