Roanoke Leader
William Augustus Boyd, age 78, Wedowee, Rt. 1, passed away at eleven oclock 
Tuesday morning, July 16. Mr. Boyd is survived by four sons, Robert of Newell, 
Ralph of Wedowee Rt. 1, with whom he made his home, Harman of LaGrange, and John 
of Wedowee; four daughters, Mrs. Sallie Traylor of Newell, Mrs. Winnie Yates and 
Mrs. Hattie Creed of La-Grange, and Mrs. Ezell Waldrep of Wedowee; two brothers, 
Charles Boyd of Wedowee and Dallas Boyd of Albuquerque, N. M.; 32 grandchildren 
and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Boyd were conducted 
Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock from the Levins Chapel Church. Interment was 
in the church cemetery, with Quattlebaum's Funeral Home directing.
