Services for Mrs. Bernice Euna Boyd, 78, of Roanoke will be Saturday at 1 1 a.m. 
at Quattlebaum Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Rollins officiating. Burial will 
be in Goldridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the 
funeral home until 9 tonight. Mrs. Boyd died Thursday at Traylor Nursing Home in 
Roanoke. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Pierce of Mun-ford, 
Mrs. Jean Edge of Lafayette and Mrs. Agnes Hendrix of Roanoke; a son, Kirby Boyd 
of Talladega; six sisters, Mrs. Bennie McCaghren of Ranburne, Mrs. Gertrude 
Faulkner of Carrollton, Ga., Mrs. Annie Mae Yates of Graham, Miss Lizzie Gibbs 
of Ranburne, Mrs. Mamie Yates of Graham, Mrs. Lilian Richardson of Anniston; and 
four brothers, B.F. Gibbs of Oxford, Barnie Gibbs and Bill Gibbs, both of 
Ranburne, and Rev. Howard Gibbs of Anniston; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-
grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. 
Mrs. Boyd, a Ranburne native, had lived in Roanoke for 50 years. Mrs. Boyd was a 
member of Goldridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, 
Walter F. Boyd; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Scott and Miss Mary Kathleen Boyd; 
a son, Wallace Boyd; a sister, Miss Ednell Gibbs; and a grandson, Russell Boyd.
