Services for Mrs. Annie Bell Boyd, 68, of Wedowee, Rt. 1, will be Thursday at 2 
p.m. at Caver's Grove Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. Leon Beasley 
and the Rev. Gordon Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery 
with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The family will receive 
friends until an hour before service at the funeral home. Mrs. Boyd died Tuesday 
at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include her husband, John D. Boyd of Wedowee; 
four daughters, Mrs. Janice Nolan of Carrollton, Ga., Mrs. Linda Kirby and Mrs. 
Judy Smith, both of Roanoke and Mrs. Jane G. Whaley of Wedowee; two sons, Elton 
Boyd of Roanoke and Darrell Boyd of Wedowee; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Sikes of 
Wedowee and Mrs. Loree Reaves of Atlanta; two brothers, Lewis McCain of Wedowee 
and Ertis McCain of Anniston; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Mrs. Boyd was a Randolph County 
native and a retired textile employee. She was a homemaker and a member of the 
Church of God.
