Frank Rasbury and Mrs. Winnie Murhpy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Bene-field Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. Mr. Boyd died Wednesday at Randolph County Hospital in Roanoke. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Brenice Birdsong of Montevallo, Mrs. Doris Handley of Roanoke and Mrs. Betty Craft pf Pensacola, Fla.; a son, Brenford Boyd of Wedowee; a sister, Mrs. Tula Haynes of Oxford; four brothers, the Rev. Drexel Boyd of Oxford; Horace Boyd Abeline, Texas, Verlon Boyd of Clearwater, Fla., Swann Boyd of Wedowee, seven grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ben Handley III, Jimmy Birdsong, Dr. Dwight Baker, Donald Boyd, Watson Haynes, Roy Lindley, George Haynes and Buford Stitcher. Mr. Boyd was a lifelong Randolph County resident, a farmer and lumberman. He was a member of the Woodman of the World and the New Home United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the New Home United Methodist Church.
