Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at New Home Methodist Church in Randolph County with the Rev. Hobart Murphree officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Boyd is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rosalee Boyd; one daughter Mrs. Thomas Pruitt of Glencoe two sons John D. Boyd of Anniston and Charles Boyd of Belle Glade, Fla.; one stepson, Carl Weathers of South Carolina, two stepdaughters Mrs. Bill Clark of Oxford and Mrs. Ellen Gaines of Heflin; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Stovall of Anniston and Mrs. Tula Haynes of Oxford; seven brothers, Hubert and A.M. of Anniston, Swann and Hoyt Boyd of Wedoweee Horace of Abilene, Tex., Verlon Boyd Clearwater, Fla. and J. D. Boyd; of Birmingham, nine grandchildren. Active pallbearers will nephews. Mr. Boyd was a native of Randolph County. He had lived in Oxford for the past ten years. He was a member of the New Home Methodist Church and a member of the Wedowee Masonic Lodge.
