Funeral services for Mr. Charles Henry Boyd, age 85, were held at the New Home 
Methodist Church Friday, November 7. Mr. Boyd, age 85, passed away Wednesday, 
November 5, at his home in the New Home community. Rev. Hobart Murphree 
officiated and graveside services were presided over by Masons. Masons also 
served as pallbearers. He is survived by two two daughters: Mrs. Frank Barton 
Stovall of Anniston and Mrs. Tula Haynes of Oxford; eight sons: John Hoyt Boyd 
and Jesse Swann Boyd of Wedowee, Luther Nathaniel Boyd of Glencoe, Garvis 
Hubert Boyd of Ohatchee, Charles Horace Boyd of Abilene, Texas, Verlon R. Boyd 
of Clearwater, Florida, Rev. James Drexel Boyd of Hokes Bluff, and Andrew 
Mansel Boyd of Anniston; one brother, Dallas Blain Boyd of Albuquerque, New 
Mexico, and twenty-seven grandchildren.
