Mrs. J. R. Braden of Wedowee Rt. 1, age 86, passed away at her home Sunday, Nov. 
25, at 7:30 p. m. Mrs. Braden is survived by 5 sons, Early and Humphrey Braden 
of Heflin, Gay Braden of Roanoke, Gilbert Braden of Bessemer, and H. O. Braden 
of Wedowee; 4 daughters, Miss Nona Braden of Wedowee Rt. 1, Mrs. Sylvan Traylor 
of Delta, and Mrs. Loyce Meeker and Mrs. Grady Morrison of Wedowee Rt. 1; 26 
grandchildren and 36 greatgrandchildren; 3 brothers, Pate Landers of Anniston, 
Idus Landers of Wedowee Rt. 1, and Gilbert Landers of Delta; and 1 sister, Mrs. 
Grady Braswell of Wedowee Rt. 1. Funeral services for Mrs. Braden were conducted 
Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 2 p. m. from the Corinth North Baptist Church by Rev. Gus 
Young, Rev. Lennox Mallory, and Rev. W. B. Mathews. Burial was in the church 
cemetery. Quattlebaum's Brown Service Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
