The bailiff with a posse who took shotguns went to the house of Rogers to arrest him for killing sheep Rogers and his family made stubborn resistance and, in the melee, Mr. Brassell a worthy good citizen of about thirty years of age was shot and died in about three hours. Two other men were wounded Rogers was arrested in the afternoon and he with a portion of his family held to answer the crime of murder and resisting lawful arrest. Additional Comments: Henry Rogers was sent to prison for 10 years.
