Brooks and when he departed carried the husband and father with him. Mr. Brooks was born May 7, 1866, and was twice married, first to Miss M. F. Reaves, August 23rd, 1885, and upon her death he was wedded to Miss Sallie Mitchell December 25. 1902. Mr. Brooks was indeed one of nature's noblemen. A man who was honest, honorable and upright. He was versatile, brave and a man to trusted under any and all circumstances. His many friends, recognized in the true worth of the man, show him with honors. He served two terms as county commissioner, and. at the time of his death was member of' the Randolph County Board of Education. He had served one term previous to this he was an earnest and conscientious member of the Masonic fraternity. He was a Master Mason of Hardy-Howle Lodge No. 459, Delta, Ala., was Master of the Lodge for several years. He was the most excellent High Priest of the Royal Arch Masonic Order and also an enterprising member of the Baptist church. Mr. Brooks was a man of high ideals. He never allowed his morality or virtuous character to flag but was always in the midst of every battle that tended to the betterment of mankind. He served his maker well through the destined span of years which mortals call life, always keeping in mind the thought of the beautiful ever new life beyond the grave. He has now entered into that life and is singing hosannahs and paeous of praise around the throne of the great God, ruler of heaven and earth. Therefore, be it resolved: First: That Alabama and Hardy- Howle Lodge has lost one of its most noble men, a learned, honored member, and that his death has caused an irreparable loss- which cannot be forgotten to the Masonic fraternity. Second: That we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the afflicted family in this dark hour of bereavement. True, we have no divine comforting power, but we commend them to Christ, who died that we might live He will take them under the divine shadow of his wing and wipe every tear away. Third: That a copy of this last respect to the dead shall be sent to the Lineville Headlight, a second copy to the bereaved family and a third placed upon the records of Hardy Howie Lodge. H. C. WILLINGHAM. IRA GARRETT. WILLIE INGRAM. Additional Comments: Andrew K. Brooks is buried at Wesley's Chapel Randolph County.
