She was 78 years old. Funeral services were conducted at Big Springs Baptist Church at noon Monday by Rev. Jeff Talley with Quattlebaum directing, and burial was in the Big Springs cemetery. Mrs. Brown is survived by four sons: Jim, of Heard County, Ga.; Tom and Lee, of Omaha; and J.H., of Wedowee, Rt. 2. Additional Comments: Four sons of Mary Jane Strikland Brown and Benjamin (Ben) E. Brown: Jim (James "Jim" Robert Brown), Tom (believe is probably Alonzo "Lon" Jackson Brown) and Lee (William Lee Brown), and J.H. (John Henry Brown) Mary Jane Strickland Brown and Benjamin (Ben) E. Brown had one daughter named Mary Elizabeth Brown who died September 10, 1923 in Heard county, Georgia. Mary Jane Strickland and Benjamin E. Brown had twins: Jossie and Joseph Brown who were born according to 1900 Heard county, Walnut Hill census in October 1895. Jossie died sometime before 1900 around the age of 2 or 3 according to family relatives. Joseph died before 1920 around the age of 15 or 17 because he shows up in the 1910 Heard county, Walnut Hill Census.
