Brown Mr. George L. Brown, age 74, Roanoke, Route 5, passed away in a Bowdon, Georgia, hospital on Friday morning, March 14, at 6:40 o'clock. Besides his wife, Mr. Brown is survived by two sons, Monroe and James Brown, both of LaGrange; two daughters, Mrs. Avary Veal, Sergeant, Georgia, and Mrs. Eddie Alsobrook of Roanoke, Route 5; twenty grandchildren, and two brothers, Mr. Shelley Brown of Carrollton, Ga., and Mr. Lon Brown. Funeral services for Mr. Brown were conducted Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the Big Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. T.D. Noles officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Quattlebaum's Funeral Home of Roanoke in charge of funeral arrangements. Brown and his second wife Emily Stone Brown. George's brother Shelley Henry Brown is buried in Tyus Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Georgia and their sister Rosa L. Brown Martin Dixon (Mrs. Rosie Dixon - name on FindAGrave) is buried in the Highland Cemetery in Lawton, Comanche County, Oklahoma.
