West Point News
Services were conducted Saturday from the Friendship church in Randolph County 
for William A. Brumbeloe, 80, who died Nov. 26 at his home in Roper Division, 
West Point. The following ministers officiated: R. E. Sterner, Lee Duffy, and 
Carl Burkes. Born in Randolph County, Mr. Brumbeloe had lived in West Point 
three years. In ill health for four months, he had been seriously ill for two 
weeks. His membership was in the Community Chapel Church of God, Lanett. He is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Brumbeloe; five daughters, Mrs. Rance Kirby of 
Chipley, Mrs. O. L. Beverly of Auburn, Mrs. Gussie Swint of West Point, Mrs. Ned 
Yates of West Point, and Mrs. Frank Ragsdale of Columbus; three sons, Marvin of 
Auburn, Herbert of St. Andrews, Fla., and Irie of the U. S. Navy; 26 
grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Friendship 
churchyard, conducted by Johnson and Blakely.
