OBITUARIES:

Junior McCoy Burdette

   (ROANOKE RT. 4) Junior McCoy Burdette, age 71, of Roanoke Rt. 4, died 
Monday, May 18, 1987, in Randolph County Hospital, Roanoke.
   Mr. Burdette is survived by one son, McCoy Burdette of Lanett; two 
grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Nelson of Lanett, Mrs. Laverne 
Cranford of Roanoke, and Mrs. Catheryn Underwood of Roanoke Rt. 4; and one 
brother, Jim Allen Burdette of Devine, Tex.
   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 20, at 2:00 p.m. from Antioch 
Congregational Christian Church, with interment in the church cemetery.  
Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Wallace Roberts and the Rev. Ed 
Lauderdale.
   Pallbearers will be Eugene Williams, Ellis Brown, Lankford Brown, Emerson 
Thompson, Billy Burdette, and Roger Burdette.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
   Visitation will be at the funeral home until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, after 
which the deceased will lie in state at the church until the time of the 
funeral.
