West Point News
Mr. Oscar O. Burke, aged 70 died on Friday of last week at his home in Lanett, 
following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Burke had lived in Lanett since last 
December, coming to this city from Randolph County. His wife died on last January 
7th. Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion church in Randolph County, near where 
he had lived for many years. Rev. C. L. Ellis, being assisted by Rev. J. D. 
Dollar. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery, Johnson & Blakely, in charge.
