Burns 59, of River Terrace Estates, Talladega, died Saturday in St. Clair County Hospital after a long illness. Funeral Services were today at 2:30 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Number Two in Randolph County, with the Rev. Lester McMahan and the Rev. C. V. Harbinson officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Gray-Brown Service Mortuary in charge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vera Burns of Talladega; two brothers. Vernon Burns and Doyle Burns, both of Pell City; a sister. Mrs. Nima Titlow of Sliver Springs Maryland. Pallbearers were James R. Brooks, Richard E. Pionter, Steven M. Pionter, Wayne Daugherty, Wayne C. Messer and Vernon Burns Jr. A native of St. Clair County, he was a former resident of Anniston and a veteran of World War II.
