OBITUARIES:

REVIE BURROUGHS

   (Wedowee)  Revie Burroughs, age 94, of Wedowee, died Sunday, May 15, 1988, 
at Randolph County Hospital, Roanoke, after an extended illness.
   Mr. Burroughs was a native of Clay County but had lived in Randolph County 
for the past thirty years.  He was a barber for fifty years.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Earlie Burroughs of Wedowee; three 
daughters, Mrs. Mohee Foster of Wedowee, Mrs. Verna Mae Longshore of Roanoke, 
and Mrs. Hazel Gray of Tupelo, Miss.; three sons, Buron Burroughs of LaFayette, 
James Hoyt Burroughs of Lacey's Springs, AL, and Bobby Burroughs of Wadley; and 
14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
   Funeral services for Mr. Burroughs were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 
at Benefield Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Lavelle Reynolds and the Rev. Zenas 
Windsor officiating.  Burial was in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were grandsons of Mr. Burroughs.
   Benefield Brown-Service Approved Funeral Home, Wedowee, was in charge of the 
arrangements.
