The Atlanta Constitution
Services for Winfred Junior (Curley) Burroughs, 49, of 2130 Sylvan Road, East 
Point, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hemperley's Chapel and at 3 p.m. EDT Tuesday 
in Harmony Congregational Methodist Church in Newell, Ala. Burial will be in the 
Harmony church cemetery. Mr. Burroughs, a carpenter with Ira H. Hardin Co., died 
Saturday following an apparent heart attack. He was a veteran of World War II. 
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Anna S. Burroughs; daughter, Miss Florence 
Burroughs of Atlanta; son, Sp-4 Winfred Merrill Burroughs of Ft. Bragg, N.C; 
sisters, Mrs. M. W. Smith and Mrs. Inez Hayes, both of Atlanta, Mrs. A. L. Tipton 
of LaGrange and Mrs. J. W. Johnston of Jacksonville, Fla., and brothers, Merrill 
Burroughs of Atlanta and Kirby Burroughs of LaGrange.
