J.C. Burroughs 75 of 409 Greenville St died at 11:40 a m Tuesday at Brightmoon 
Nursing Center in Griffin. Funeral will be at 11 a m today at Harmony 
Congregational Church in Newell Ala with the Rev Ralph Estes officiating Burial 
will be in the church cemetery. A native of Clay County Ala he was a son of the 
late Mr. and Mrs. John Burroughs Survivors include his widow Mrs. Annie Burroughs 
LaGrange four daughters Mrs. M. W. Smith Ellenwood, Mrs. Inez Hayes and Mrs. J. 
W. Johnston both of Jacksonville Fla and Mrs. A. L. Tipton LaGrange, three sons 
John Burroughs Atlanta, Winfred J. Burroughs Jacksonville and Ellis Burroughs 
LaGrange two brothers Reavie Burroughs Wedowee Ala and Howard Burroughs Harswell 
Ala, also 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
