Emma Clegg Butler 88 of Bessemer mother of a Columbus resident died Saturday at 
Bessemer Carraway Medical Center. The funeral was Tuesday with burial in Pleasant 
Hill Methodist Church cemetery. Mrs. Bulter was born March 12, 1899, in Randolph 
County daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenchen Lea Clegg. She was a homemaker Survivors 
include her husband Luther P., two daughters Florence K Dimon of Wadley and Ruth 
B Rhodes of Tuscaloosa, two sons Charles L Butler of Columbus C Butler of 
Florence 10 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren.
