Luther P. Butler 91 of 828 Belvedere Drive Columbus formerly of Bessemer Ala, 
died Monday at Hamilton House nursing home Columbus. The funeral was Thursday at 
Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel Roanoke and burial was in Pleasant Hill United 
Methodist Church Wadley Ala. Mr. Butler was born Oct 24, 1897, in Randolph County 
Ala son of Clark Marion and Emma Skipper Butler He was a member of First United 
Baptist Church of Bessemer and was a retired steelworker Survivors include two 
daughters Florence K Dimon of Birmingham Ala and Ruth B Rhodes of Tuscaloosa Ala 
two sons Charles L Butler of Columbus and Edward C Butler of Florence Ala. 10 
grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren one great-great-grandchild.
