Mrs. Matilda Byrdsong passed away January 21 at Wadley, Route 3. Funeral services 
will be held from Bethlehem Baptist Church January 28 at Wadley, Ala., at 1:00 
p.m. with Rev. E. Ware conducting. Interment will be in the church cemetery with 
Vines Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are: six daughters, Miss Josephene 
Byrdsong, Wedowee; Mrs. Queenie Houston and Miss Lula Byrdsong, Wedowee; Mrs. 
Lena Newell, Dayton, Ohio Miss Vicie Lee Byrdsong, Wedowee; Mrs. Mattie Heard, 
Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sons, John Byrdsong. Lineville; Bob Byrdsong; Wedowee; 
Josh Byrdsong, Dayton, Ohio.
