CALDWELL DIES IN HOSPITAL HERE Mrs. Carrie Bell Caldwell, 67, of Roanoke, Route 1, passed away at a local hospital shortly after noon on Friday, Feb. 26[27], following a serious illness. Widow of the late C. H. Caldwell, she was a member of the Christian Church. She is survived by five sons: C. H. of Phenix City, W. H., of Jasper, R. A., of Columbia, S. C., J. W., of Roanoke, and J. T., of Flovilla, GA; three daughters: Mrs. C. G. Marshall, of Wadley, Route 1, Mrs. L. T. Hatcher, of Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs. T. E. Padgett, of Rome, GA; a sister, Mrs. G. W. Heard, of Woodland; two brothers: W. H. Mitchum and J. C. Mitchum, of Roanoke; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church on West Point Street at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, with Rev. Belt White and Rev. T. R. McKibbens officiating.
