OBITUARIES:

Earnest Caldwell

   (WADLEY) Earnest Caldwell, age 68, of Rt. 2 Wadley, died Wednesday, May 6, 
1987, at West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange, Georgia, after an extended 
illness.
   Mr. Caldwell was a lifelong resident of Randolph County.  He was a veteran 
of World War II, a farmer, and a textile worker.
   Mr. Caldwell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Caldwell of Rt. 2 Wadley; 
two daughters, Miss Mollie Caldwell and Mrs. Joyce Taylor of Wadley; three 
sons, Ralph Caldwell and Boyce Caldwell of Wadley and Wayne Caldwell of 
LaFayette; one sister, Ivlyn Fetner of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren and three 
great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services for Mr. Caldwell were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8 at Almond 
Methodist Church with the Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating.  Burial was in Pine 
Grove Cemetery.
   Pallbearers for Mr. Caldwell were Eddie Moncus, Laney Reese, Clifford 
Moncus, Wendall Knight, Mike McGill and Wayne Hornsby.
   Benefield Brown Service Approved Funeral Home of Wedowee was in charge of 
arrangements.
