John E. Campbell, age 46, passed away September 16 at his home in Union Chapel 
community. Funeral services were held from Union Chapel Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with 
Rev. H. Jennings conducting. Interment was in the church cemetery with Vines 
Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are: wife, Mrs. Lucy Campbell, Wedowee, Route 
1; 2 children, Mrs. Nellie R. Damal, LaFayette; John Campbell, Birmingham; 3 
brothers, Mack Prather, Wedowee; Joe Prather, Lanett; M. C. Prather, Wedowee; one 
sister, Mrs. Fannie Welch, Anniston.
