B. CARLISLE DIED TODAY AT HOME NEAR CITY At 2:30 this morning Mr J. Brainard Carlisle died at his home three miles north of Roan- oke, after an illness of one month The aged wife meanwhile is quite ill. Besides the daughters, Misses Mollie and Ora Carlisle, the only son, Mr. Lon J. Carlisle, and wife, of Dublin, Texas, were with their father when the end came, tbe latter couple having arrived about ten days ago. Mr. Carlisle was 81 years of age last December. He was a.. Confederate veteran, an exempla- ry citizen and a member of the Church of the DiscipIes. He had long Been a resident of this coun- ty. The funeral will be at Leban- on at 10 in the morning, conduct- ed by Elder 0. A. Moore, the pas- tor.
