OBITUARIES:

Grady H. Carter

   (WOODLAND) Grady H. Carter, age 86, of Rt. 1 Woodland, died Wednesday, Feb. 
27, 1985 at Randolph County Hospital.
   Mr. Carter has been a lifelong resident of Randolph County. He was a member 
of the Church of Christ.
   Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nancy Carter; three daughters, Mrs. 
John Stewart of Anniston, Mrs. Delton Cofield of Graham, and Mrs. Robert Wilson 
of Wedowee; two sons, Joe Carter of Birmingham and Earnest Carter of Woodland; 
six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Eva Johnson of 
Carrollton, Ga.; and one brother, Edward Carter of LaGrange, Ga.
   Funeral services for Mr. Carter were Friday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Harmony 
Congregational Methodist Church, with Bro. J.L. Sparks, Bro. Aubrey Prestridge, 
and Rev. Earnest Lipham officiating. Burial followed in the Harmony Church 
Cemetery.
   Pallbearers for Mr. Carter were Tommy Cofield, Danny Carter, Tommy Simpson, 
Joey Carter, Clarence Smith, and Stewart Hill. 
   Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee was in charge of arrangements.
