Roanoke Leader
Mrs. Della Cofield, age 66, passed away at the residence in the Morrisons 
Crossroads community Sunday afternoon, August 3. Survivors are her husband, C. 
G. Cofield; six daughters and one son by a former marriage: Mrs. Albert Brown, 
of Wehadkee, Mrs. Otis Brown, Mrs. Erma Davis, Mrs. Joe Webb, Mrs. L. C. Holly, 
all of LaGrange, Mrs. J. C. Brady, of Roanoke, and Herman Brown, of LaGrange; 
five sisters: Mrs. Joe Allen, Mrs. Erne, Mrs. Johnnie Allen, of Doerun, Ga., 
Mrs. B. O. Waters, of Wehadkee, and Mrs. Jim Williams, of Newell; two brothers: 
Lune Lipham, of Anniston, and Estell Lipham, of Heflin; six stepsons and five 
stepdaughters by her present husband: Millard, Albert, Marvin. Roy, and Nathan 
Cofield, all of Newell, R. C. Cofield, of Foley, Ala., Mrs. Arthur Morrison and 
Mrs. Jess Steen, of Newell, Mrs. W. B. Lipham and Mrs. W. R. Parker, of Wedowee, 
and Mrs. Calvin Reeves, of Anniston; 29 grandchildren and five 
greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Union Baptist Church at 
2 p. m. Monday, Aug. 4, the Rev. A. J. Boggs and the Rev. Eugene Reese 
officiating. Interment was in Union cemetery, Roanoke Funeral Home directing
