T. Cofield, age 70, prominent Randolph County farmer, who died suddenly Friday evening at his home, were conducted from the home Sunday morning at 11 o'clock with the Rev. B. W. Mathews and the Rev. J.P. Bean of officiating. The deceased was long prominent in the business and educational circles of Randolph and Clay Counties. At one time he served member of the County Board of Education of Randolph County. At the time of his demise, he was a member of the board of directors of the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Lineville. Surviving are the wife, three sons, Ross and Paschal Cofield of Delta, Route 1, and William Cofield, Lineville; seven daughters, Mrs. Ira Hendon, Wedowee; Mrs. A. T. East, Five Points; Miss Elvie Cofield Wadley; Miss Minnie Cofield, Tallassee; Mrs. Gaston Yates, Lineville, and two other married daughters. Interment was in the family burial grounds near the home with Blair directing. Additional Comments: He is buried Liberty COC Cemetery, Randolph County, AL.
