Funeral services for Mr. Cosby Grissom Cofield. 90, who died at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. Lessie Parker, on Wedowee Route l, at noon Monday, were held from 
the Union Church at 2 p. m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Monroe Wiggins, the Rev. 
Ambros Boggs and the Rev. Mr. Wilder officiating. Interment was in the Union 
cemetery with Quattlebaum's Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements, and 
Sawyer Masonic Lodge of Wedowee, in charge of graveside services. Mr. Cofield is 
survived by six sons Millard, Marvin and Roy, all of Newell; Nathan and R. C., 
of Wedowee, Albert of Anniston; five daughters Mrs. Bertha Steen. Mrs. Mellie 
Lipham and Mrs. Lessie Parker, of Wedowee, Mrs. Nanny Morrison, of Newell, and 
Mrs. Dollie Reeves, of Oxford; fifty-three grandchildren; fifty-nine great-
grandchildren; one brother, Mr. W. W. Cofield, of Jarred, Texas, and one sister, 
Mrs. Mary Cofield, of Anniston.
