Funeral serv ices for Nathan Cofield, 64, of Newell, m Randolph County, will be 
held today at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church in Newell Burial will be in the 
adjoining church cemetery. A Roanoke funeral home is in charge of services. Mr. 
Cofield died Friday of burns suffered when his house was destroyed by fire. 
Survivors include the widow. Mrs. Lessie Cofield; two sons, Talmon Cofield of 
Wedowee, and Malcolm Cofield of Fayette, Ala.
