OBITUARIES:

Mrs. Montez Taft Cook

   (RIVER VIEW) Mrs. Montez-Taft Cook, age 63 of Rt.1 River View, Ala., died 
Monday, April 9, 1979, in the Lanier Memorial Hospital, Langdale.
   Mrs. Cook is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Janell Parmer of Rt. 2 Roanoke 
and Mrs. Emma Jean Bailey of Rock Mills; three grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Lou Ella Taft of Rt. 2 Roanoke; and five 
brothers, W. W. Taft of Rock Mills, Charles Taft of Rt. 2 Roanoke, and Barney, 
Ray, and Fred Taft, all of Roanoke.
   Funeral services for Mrs. Cook were conducted Tuesday afternoon at three 
o'clock from Quattlebaum's Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Frank Sledge and the Rev. 
J. T. Dykes officiating, with burial in Randolph Memory Gardens.
   Pallbearers were Joe Taft, Billy Ray Taft, Jimmy Dunn, Jack Kircker Larry 
Bailey, and Waymond Taft.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
