Anniston Star
Mrs. Jean Craft of Newell Rt. 1. died Saturday at Wedowee Hospital after a long 
illness. Services were to be today at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church -with the 
Rev. Ray Runyan and the Rev. J. D. Beardon officiating. Burial will be in the 
adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include her 
husband, J. D. Craft; two sons; Mike Craft and Tim Craft of Newell; her parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Waites of Newell; four sisters, Mrs. Clatis Cosper, Mrs. 
Lendon Fields and Mrs. Leonard Lipham, all of Newell and Mrs. J. T. Sasser of 
Kellyton; three brothers, Curtis Waites of Carrollton, Ga., Doyce Waites of 
Oxford and Millard Waites of San Angelo, Tex. Mrs. Craft was a homemaker and a 
member of Union Baptist Church.
