Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Valley Grove Baptist Church in Randolph County with the Rev. D. Hurst and the Rev. Hobart Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville in charge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Craven; five sons, Ellis Craven of Oxford, Jimmy Craven of Jacksonville, C. B. Craven Jr. of Roanoke. Wallace Sherrill of the U.S. Navy, and Wayne Craven of Hamilton, Miss.; four daughters, Mrs. Blake Character, Mrs. Willie McCormick, Mrs. Clifford Frames and Mrs. Ronnie Key, all of Delta; a brother, Stonewall Craven of Newell; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Williamson, Mrs. Shelly Key, and Mrs. L. B. Stewart, all of Wedowee and 16 grandchildren, grandchildren. Mr. Craven was a native of Randolph County and had lived in Clay County for 32 years. He was a retired barber arid a member of Black's Chapel Methodist Church. He was also a member of. Lineville Lodge 219; The body will remain at the funeral home until time of services.
