Roanoke Leader
James Larkin Creed of Wedowee Rt. 1, age 76, passed away at his home Tuesday, 
Dec. 10, at 7:55 a. m. Mr. Creed is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lulie Creed; a 
son, David Creed of Roanoke; 2 daughters, Mrs. Eunice Mize and Mrs. Quinton 
Wortham of Wedowee Rt. 1; 9 grandchildren; a brother, Bob Creed of Sexton, Ala.; 
and a sister, Mrs. Bass Duffey of Newell Rt. 1. Funeral services for Mr. Creed 
were conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 11, from the Valley Grove 
Baptist Church by Rev. Douglas Ford and the Rev. Mr. White. Burial was in the 
church cemetery. Quattlebaum's Brown Service Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
