Mrs. Nora Cummings, 78, died Aug. 8, at her home on Route 1, Wehadkee. Services 
were conducted August 9 from the Lebanon church, with burial in the churchyard. A 
native and life-long resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Cummings had been active 
for many years in community life. She is survived by her husband, Ben Cummings, 
six sons, Henry Kelley of Shawmut, Lem Kelley of Fairfax, Jordan and Andrew 
Kelley of Roanoke, Homer Kelley of Atlanta, and Houston Kelley of LaGrange; five 
daughters, Mrs. Lula Knott of Roanoke, Mrs. Lolla Norton of Carrollton, Mrs. Lara 
Nixon and Mrs. Cora Belle Ford at LaGrange. and Mrs. Mattie Lee Stokes of 
Carrollton; also 43 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
