Weekly Columbus Enquirer
A man named William Cupp a Pedlar residing in Randolph County Alabama was killed 
at Indigo Head Coffee County on the 9th inst by Horrace Respass. The deceased was 
cut on the head with a knife which penetrated his brain and caused his death 
after lingering about four days. A coroner's inquest returned a verdict of 
Willful Murder. Respass was pursued to Eufaula and arrested.
