Roanoke Leader
James Belton Daniel, 40-year-olid-resident of near Woodland, died last Thursday 
evening at a local hospital after a weeks sickness. Funeral services were 
conducted-Saturday morning at Providence Baptist church by Rev. Herman Caldwell 
with Quattlebaum directing. Burial was in the Provident cemetery. The deceased is 
survived by his widow, Mrs. Viola Daniel; three daughters, Aubrey, Thelma, and 
Hazel; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Daniel; four brothers, Grady, Mark, 
Buster, and Grover Daniels two sisters: Mrs. J. L. Beddingfield and Mrs. Eva 
Smith. All are of Woodland and vicinity except Mrs. Beddingfield, of Albertville, 
and Grover, of the University.
