Roanoke Leader
John Hartford Daniel, 52, died Monday morning at a local hospital. He is survived 
by his widow, Mrs. Lydia Daniel; four sons, H. G., Mark, and Buster, of Woodland, 
and Grover, of Tuscaloosa; two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Beddingfield, of 
Albertville, and Mrs. Will Smith, of Woodland; two brothers, William and Mark 
Daniel, Woodland; four sisters, Miss Genie Daniel, Woodland, Mrs. Venie Thompson, 
Cullman, Mrs. J. D. Key, La-Grange, and Mrs. Senia Lipham, Tifton, Ga. Funeral 
services were conducted at Providence Baptist church near Woodland Tuesday 
afternoon by Rev. W. H. Caldwell, with Quattlebaum directing.
