Anniston Star
Funeral services will be held at Corinth for J. D. Daugherty, Age 80, who died at 
his residence at 2233 McCoy Avenue at 13:55 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The tun 
will be announced later by Usrey. Mr. Daugherty came to Anniston three years ago 
from Randolph County, where he was a farmer. Surviving are the wife, five sons, 
J. W. and R. T. Daugherty, Corinth; J. J. of Blue Mountain, E. H. and A. J. 
Detroit, Mich., five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ogle and Mrs. Clara Teague, 
Corinth; Mrs. Eva Brooks and Misses Eura and Vera Daugherty, Anniston; two 
sisters, Mrs. Mattle Bible and. Miss Sudie Daugherty of Louisiana, and a brother, 
John Daugherty, Anniston.

NOTE: Obit was run in the Dec 9, 1937, issue of the Anniston Star.
Cemetery marker states death years as 1938.
