J. D. Bearden and the Rev. Forney McMichael officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in Mr. Daugherty died Friday at his residence after a short illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille Daugherty; a son, Wayne Russell Daugherty of Anniston; five daughters, Mrs. Sandra Lawler of Piedmont, Mrs. Maelene Crossley of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Rudell Gilmer of Anniston, Mrs. Florene Phillips of Decatur and Mrs. Faye New of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Linda Parrish and Mrs. Marie Smith, both of Piedmont; two brothers, Dewey Daugherty of Detroit, Mich., and Joe Daugherty of Phenix City; two sisters, Miss Eura Daugherty and Mrs. Vera Burns, both of Anniston; 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gary Wayne Key, Charles Key, Windell Waggoner, Cecil Parrish, Stanley Reeves and Jimmy Brooks. Mr. Daugherty was a native of Randolph County and had lived in Calhoun County for nine years.
