Mrs. Lela Elizabeth Camp Dennis, age of Eclectic, Alabama, passed away Thursday, 
April 13, at the home of Marvin Cofield on Rt. 1 Newell. Mrs. Dennis was the 
victim of a heart attack while there for the funeral of her brother, Mr. Robert 
Camp. Funeral services were held from the Antioch Church of Newell at 2 o'clock 
Saturday, April 15. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of 
the Reverends L. Nelson and Harvey Smith. Interment was in the church cemetery 
with Quattlebaum's Funeral Home in charge. The pallbearers were J. C. Camp, 
Cecil Camp, Clarence Camp, Blake Camp, Ralph Camp, Eugene Johnson, and Oren 
Johnson. Mrs. Dennis is survived by her husband, Mr. Joe Dennis of Eclectic; 
three sons: Selvie and Curtis of California and Doyle of Eclectic; three 
daughters: Mrs. Lora Boyd of Hope Hull, Ala., Mrs. Lela Belle Stephens of 
Elmore, Ala., and Mrs. Alva Cost of Sylacauga; twelve grandchildren and one 
great-grandchild, one brother, W. J. Camp of Bowdon; and one sister, Mrs. 
Johnnie Johnston of Newell.
