Heart Attack takes life of B.C. Dollar

Father of Deputy sheriff dies at his East Vernon home Sunday.


  Bryant Cornelius Dollar,father of Deputy Sheriff,F.V. Dollar and Mrs. J. R. 
Emory of Durand, died at his home in the East  Vernon District at 11:00 o'clock 
Sunday morning. He was 80 years old and a native of Troup county. Death 
followed a heart attack which the aged man suffered several days ago.
   Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock from Tatum 
Church, with Rev. Robert Crowder, assisted by Rev. R.B. Blalock,officiating. 
Burial will be in  the Tatum cemetary, with the following acting as pall 
bearers: W.L. Cleveland, Sam D. Jones, John Hendon, Chas. Rivers, H.V. Harden, 
Earl Jackson, J. Forest Johnson, R.W. Martin and Grady Market. Hunter-Owen are 
in charge  of arrangements. Besides his wife, a son and a daughter, Mr. Dollar 
is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

I do not know the exact source of the obituary. It is most likely from the 
LaGrange,Georgia  paper. B.C. Dollar's parents and siblings are from Randolph 
County, Alabama.
