Ken Fuller and the Rev. Harris Hand officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home until time of services. Mr. Eason died Wednesday at Baptist Medical Center-Montclair in Birmingham. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Daisy Heard Eason of Wedowee; four daughters, Mrs. Linda Traylor, Mrs. Robbie Benefield and Ms. Terri Eason, all of Wedowee and Mrs. Peggy Nelson of Birmingham; a son, Robert Eason Jr. of Wedowee; three sisters, Mrs. Bobble Shaw of Woodland, Mrs. Alice Cosper and Mrs. Myrtice Dunlap, both of Newell; a brother, James L. Eason of Heflin; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Jimmie Eason, James Stewart, Patrick Traylor, Ron Weaver, Chuck Hise and Wallace Bates. Mr. Eason was a Randolph County native and a World War II veteran. He was a member of the VFW and the DAV.
