Louise Benefield Edwards 73 of 4314 Mallory Road Columbus formerly of Randolph 
County Ala, died Friday at her home. The funeral and burial will be 2 p.m. Sunday 
at Zion Baptist Church Randolph County according to Donald E. Benefield Funeral 
Home Wedowee Ala. Mrs. Edwards was born May 20, 1919, in Randolph County daughter 
of Swann and Alaska Poole Benefield. She had been a Columbus resident for the 
last 41 years and was a homemaker Survivors include her husband Hugh, two 
daughters Rita Echols of Douglasville Ga and Angela Harrington of Lythia Springs 
Ga a brother Bruel Benefield of Wedowee and four grandchildren.
