Roanoke Leader
Bertie L. Fincher, 68, of LaGrange, passed away in a LaGrange hospital Sept. 9. 
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Easter Fincher; five sons: G. L., Dewey, 
William, and Leon, all of LaGrange, and A. D. Fincher, of Wehadkee; four 
daughters: Mrs. Eunice Adcock, of LaGrange, Mrs. Annie Lois Fincher, of Tex., 
Mrs. Verna Veal, of Wehadkee, md Mrs. Opal Robinson, of Atlanta; one sister, Mrs. 
Jane Critenton, Columbus, Ga.; 27 grandchildren and a large number of other near 
relatives. Funeral services were held from the Potash Church of God at 4 PM. 
Sept. 10, the Rev. H. C. Smith and the Rev. Clyde Bolt officiating. Interment was 
in the Potash cemetery, Roanoke Funeral Home directing.
