Anniston Star
Mrs. Josie Lipham Fowler 82, a native of Randolph County who died Tuesday morning 
in a Griffin, Ga., hospital while on a visit to a son in Griffin, will be held 
Friday after noon at 2 o'clock at New Home Methodist Church near, Newell. Burial 
will be in New Home Cemetery and the Revs. Will Bailey, Dan Craft and J. D. Boyd 
will officiate. Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Stewart of Anniston; 
five sons, E. V. Fowler of Sylacauga, H D. Fowler of Newell, A. H. Fowler of Fort 
Worth, Texas, E. Burt Fowler of Florence and Lloyd C. Fowler of Griffin, 23 
grandchildren and. 22 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fowler, whose home was in 
Wedowee, had lived in Randolph County most of her life and had been the oldest 
member of New Home Methodist Church.
