Roanoke Leader
Mrs. Mollie Gay, age 83, passed away at her residence on Mulberry Street Saturday 
morning, March 31, at 9:00 o'clock. Funeral services were held from the Auslin's 
Chapel Methodist Church at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, April 1, under the direction of the 
Revs. Hobart Murphree and J. W. Merrill. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery 
with Cockrell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Gay is. survived by 
two daughters: Mrs. Lollie Tillis of Cragford and Mrs. Phelia Daviston of 
Lineville, Ala.; three brothers: Bill Edmondson of Lineville and Dock and Grant 
Edmondson of Cragford; two half-brothers: Dewey and Whit Edmondson of Cragford.
