The Atlanta Constitution
The funeral for Buford Gibbs of Ranburne, Ala., a retired service manager at 
Buckhead Chrysler in Atlanta and an Army veteran of World War II, will be at 11 
a.m. Thursday at Rainwater-West Funeral Home here, with burial at Goldridge 
Baptist Church Cemetery near Ranburne. Mr. Gibbs, 69, died Tuesday at Emory 
University Hospital in Atlanta from a cerebral blood clot. Surviving are his 
wife, Mary Lowery Gibbs; a son, Harry R. Gibbs of Albertville, Ala.; a daughter, 
Hilda S. Gibbs of Ranburne; a brother, Albeit Gibbs of Pell City, Ala.; four 
sisters, Bertha Pierce of Anniston, Ala., Ellen Smith of Ranburne, and Nancy 
Iverson and Emma Green, both of Carrollton; and a grandchild.
