Roanoke Leader
The death last Thursday of Mrs. Sarah Ann Saretha Gladney removed the last member 
of the large Weathers family so prominent in the history of this county. She was 
born July 27, 1852, and was the youngest of the twelve children of the late Mr. 
and Mrs. Thomas Weathers. She was a sister of the late General B. F. Weathers, 
and most of her life was spent in this county. She is survived by three sons, 
Gus, Ellis, and Arthur, and three married daughters. Funeral services and burial 
were at Lebanon church and cemetery near here Friday.
